Concept:
Creating a symbol of human tragedy, the result of war. Humanizing the statistics of human victims in war through the visual image. Every day we see numbers of the dead, this image-personalization of numbers, behind each of them a person, a human tragedy. This cannot be corrected. The figure in shroud is reference to the funeral ceremony, it’s not concretized, emphasis is transferred to symbol. This symbol as the inevitable, horrific result of all wars.
